Want a jetpack over Los Santos, a Rhino tank in the middle of the street, or the $250,000 from the legendary HESOYAM? Pick your platform in the selector below and the list adapts (a code to type on PC and mobile, or a button combination on a controller). Just like in GTA III and Vice City, cheats are entered during gameplay, never in a menu, and a “Cheat Activated” message confirms each one.
Every GTA San Andreas cheat code
On PC and mobile: during gameplay (not in a menu), just type the code in letters. On mobile, bring up a keyboard (via a Bluetooth keyboard or an OTG adapter) and enter the code.
On a PlayStation controller: enter the button combination during gameplay, fairly fast, without pausing. Directions are on the D-pad.
On an Xbox controller: enter the button combination during gameplay, fairly fast, without pausing. Combos are given for modern Xbox controllers (360, One, Series).

The king of San Andreas cheats is HESOYAM. Unlike GTA III, Vice City and even GTA 5, San Andreas is the only 3D-era game where a code gives you money: full health, full armor and $250,000 at once, plus a repair on whatever car you’re sitting in. Re-enter it as often as you like to stack up the bills. One trap, though: triggering it during certain scripted missions, like the motorcycle chase in Just Business, destroys your vehicle and fails the mission.
When it comes to the garage and pure mayhem, San Andreas is a genuine playground. ROCKETMAN brings out the jetpack, the game’s most iconic image; AIYPWZQP gives you a parachute (perfect for leaping off Mount Chiliad); JUMPJET spawns the Hydra fighter and OHDUDE the Hunter attack chopper. For the road, RIPAZHA makes cars fly like planes and SPEEDFREAK slaps nitro on all the traffic. Most vehicle codes also exist as controller combinations, give or take a few console exclusives like cars that drive on water.
How San Andreas cheats work
Released October 26, 2004 on PlayStation 2, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas reuses the RenderWare engine and the cheat grammar of GTA III and Vice City: you type a string of keys mid-game and the game compares a hash of the code against an internal table. That’s why, on PC, several misspelled combinations, or even plain movement keys, can trigger an effect through a hash collision. Rockstar never published these codes: the “clean” versions like HESOYAM or AEZAKMI were found in the 2013 Android port and then became the standard.
In 2026, most people play San Andreas through GTA: The Trilogy The Definitive Edition, released November 11, 2021 on PS5, PS4, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC, then on mobile via Netflix on December 14, 2023. The classic codes still work there, and the edition even adds a few brand-new cheats. As everywhere in the series, cheating disables achievements for your session.
| Platform | How to enter a code | Money cheat | Achievements |
|---|---|---|---|
| PC (Steam, Definitive Edition) | Type the letters in-game | HESOYAM ($250,000) | Disabled when you cheat |
| Mobile (Netflix, classic app) | On-screen keyboard, letters | HESOYAM ($250,000) | Disabled when you cheat |
| PlayStation (PS2 to PS5) | Button combination | HESOYAM (combo) | Disabled (Definitive Edition) |
| Xbox (original to Series) | Button combination | HESOYAM (combo) | Disabled (Definitive Edition) |
Cheat codes: our expert tips
Three habits to enjoy cheats without breaking your game. First, save to a separate slot before your first cheat: hostile-pedestrian effects and mission bugs don’t forgive. Second, keep in mind that no code sabotages the story as long as you play clean on the side, so save HESOYAM for the rough patches rather than the whole campaign. Finally, if you’re going for 100 percent or the Definitive Edition achievements, run the story without cheating and keep a “sandbox” save for the jetpack and the tank.
