GTA 4 Cheat Codes: Every Phone Number to Dial

Want an attack chopper, maxed-out armor or a way to shake the cops off Niko’s tail? Good news: GTA 4’s cheats are the easiest in the series to remember, because you dial them like phone numbers. Below you’ll find the complete list for the base game and both expansions, along with the one rule that really matters before you start cheating: what it does to your achievements.

How to enter a cheat code in GTA 4

Rockstar had a clever idea back in 2008: instead of the endless button combos of San Andreas, GTA 4 has you call in your cheats. Pull out Niko’s phone mid-game, press up (up on the D-pad on a controller, the up arrow on a keyboard) to switch to the keypad, punch in the number and place the call. A message confirms the cheat is active, and the number stays in your call log so you can redial it in a single click.

Two details will save you time. First, the numbers are identical on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, so one list covers everyone. Second, for cheats that spawn a vehicle, you need to be on foot and outdoors: the car, bike or chopper materializes right in front of Niko.

Every GTA 4 cheat code

Here are the base game cheats, which work everywhere (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) and inside both expansions too.

Survival and weapons

Unlike San Andreas and its famous HESOYAM, none of these cheats adds cash: GTA 4 has no money cheat. The health and armor combo (362-555-0100) is your best friend before a shootout, and the advanced weapon pack gives Niko enough firepower to hold off a siege.

Police, weather and extras

That last number isn’t really a cheat: ZiT is an actual in-game service that texts you the title and artist of whatever’s playing on your car radio, basically a Shazam ancestor tucked into Liberty City. It has no effect on your achievements.

Spawn a vehicle

The Annihilator (359-555-0100) is the most fun of the bunch: a helicopter packing four miniguns that completely changes how you approach Liberty City. Note that the cars in the 227 family only differ by their last digits, so they’re easy to mix up.

Expansion cheats: The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony

The two episodes bundled in Episodes from Liberty City add their own vehicles and gadgets. The rule to remember: a The Lost and Damned cheat does not work in The Ballad of Gay Tony, and vice versa.

The Buzzard, APC and explosive punches trio turns The Ballad of Gay Tony into an over-the-top sandbox, fitting for an episode that’s far more outrageous in tone than the rest of GTA IV.

Do cheats disable your achievements and trophies?

That’s the real question to ask before you cheat, and the answer is gentler than in GTA 5. In GTA 4, activating a cheat only disables certain achievements, and only for the current session. Nothing is lost for good: just restart the game (or the console) and reload a cheat-free save, and those achievements can be unlocked again. No cheat blocks 100% completion, wrecks your progress or corrupts your save file.

So the pro move is the same as everywhere else in the series: keep a clean save on the side, do your achievement runs without cheats, and save the codes for a sandbox playthrough once Niko’s story is wrapped up.

No money cheat, and how to play GTA 4 in 2026

Released on April 29, 2008 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, then on December 2, 2008 on PC, Grand Theft Auto IV has never gotten a true remaster. On PC, the version sold today is GTA IV The Complete Edition, which has bundled the base game and both expansions since March 2020. Be aware that the switch to the Complete Edition killed the original multiplayer and the leaderboards, and requires the Rockstar Games Launcher. That changes nothing for single-player cheats, but it’s worth knowing before you buy.

Since there’s no money cheat, the only way to make Niko rich is through missions and side jobs. The cheats are there purely for fun: an Annihilator to buzz the city, full armor for some unapologetic mayhem, the weather cheat for the perfect sunset shot over Liberty City’s stand-in for the Hudson.
