Alfred, the byline you see
GTA Zone articles are signed Alfred. That isn't a person: it's the newsroom's pen name, and we'd rather say so plainly than invent a journalist who doesn't exist.
Behind that byline sits a named publisher, responsible for everything that appears here, and reachable at any time.
Who publishes GTA Zone
GTA Zone (gta-zone.fr and gta-zone.com) is published by Baron Création, an independent French business. The publisher also acts as director of publication and carries editorial responsibility for the site.
Direct contact, no forms, no middleman: [email protected]. The publisher's full details appear in our legal notice.
We're fans of the series, with no connection whatsoever to Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. This site is unofficial, and is neither affiliated with nor endorsed by those companies.
How an article gets made
Our main subject is a game that hasn't shipped yet, and most of what circulates about it is false. So our method is less about publishing fast than about sorting.
- Research: we always start from primary sources (Rockstar's official site and Newswire, the trailers, Take-Two's financial communications), then established specialist press.
- Writing: we use research and writing assistance tools. No text goes live without being read, checked and signed off by the publisher, who carries responsibility for it.
- Verification: every significant claim is tied to its source, and every source is rated (see below). Anything we can't source doesn't get published.
- Updates: our articles are dated. When the news contradicts an article, we correct that article rather than publishing a new one.
Our three reliability levels
Every source we cite carries a label, shown at the foot of our articles, so you know exactly where a claim stands:
- Confirmed: officially announced by Rockstar Games or Take-Two (press release, trailer, official page).
- Reported: relayed by a credible press source, but not made official by the game's publisher.
- Rumor: chatter, a leak or an unverified assumption, clearly labelled as such.
We don't republish imagery from the 2022 leak: those are stolen documents, and spreading them does nothing for our readers. We report on them and cite them without hosting them. Official visuals are always credited "Source: Rockstar Games".
Corrections and right of reply
We get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we fix the article and show the updated date, rather than quietly deleting the page.
Spotted an error, got a clarification, want to exercise a right of reply? Write to [email protected]. We reply within a few days, and correct quickly when you're right.
Independence
GTA Zone is funded by advertising so it can stay free with no paywall. Advertisers have no say over our content and never influence which subjects we cover or how. Where a link is an affiliate link, or a piece is sponsored, we say so clearly in the article itself.
