The Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid is the most accessible heist in GTA Online: free to start, with zero property to buy, and playable solo from beginning to end. Its finale pays a flat 500,000 GTA$ to the leader. Here’s how to trigger it, run it cleanly solo, and lock in the stealth approach.
GTA Online’s free, fully solo heist
Added on March 7, 2024 as an extension of The Chop Shop update (which rolled out in December 2023), the Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid arrived free on every platform. Rockstar billed it as fully playable solo, or with up to four players. That’s its real strength: where Cayo Perico demands a submarine and the Diamond Casino an arcade, this raid costs nothing to get going.
Story-wise, there’s a familiar face. Vincent Effenburger, the former head of security at the Diamond Casino, has traded his guard uniform for an LSPD badge. But corruption is eating away at the Los Santos police, and Vincent decides to strike back his own way: a cartel is pushing its imported cocaine through the Cluckin’ Bell factory in Paleto Bay, with dirty cops running interference. A nod for longtime fans, Cluckin’ Bell is the GTA universe’s fake fried-chicken chain, around since GTA San Andreas (2004), a parody of American fast-food joints.
How to start the raid: Vincent’s call
No complicated steps, no purchase. Drop into free roam and wait for Vincent Effenburger’s phone call. It comes at random, sometimes right away, sometimes within five minutes of joining a session. Once you get the call, a “V” icon shows up on the map: head to it to launch the intro mission, “Slush Fund.”

The six missions of the Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid
The raid is structured like a real heist: one intro mission, four prep missions, then the finale. Here’s the full rundown.
| Mission | Type | Main objective |
|---|---|---|
| Slush Fund | Intro | Steal the seed money from money-laundering fronts |
| Breaking and Entering | Prep | Steal hacking gear from a Terrorbyte and a laptop to get the factory blueprints |
| Concealed Weapons | Prep | Grab your arsenal and gear (location B offers the best kit for stealth) |
| Hit and Run | Prep | Steal a getaway vehicle and park it near the farm for the exfil |
| Disorganized Crime | Prep | Hack the cartel vans, sabotage the delivery trucks, wipe the security cameras and haul the flatbed back to the hideout |
| Scene of the Crime | Finale | Infiltrate the factory, loot the cocaine and the vault, then escape |
Every mission can be tackled solo or with a crew, and the number of locations you have to visit scales to the player count. Solo, plan on 45 minutes to an hour to run the whole thing cleanly.
Locking in the stealth approach: the Disorganized Crime mission
This is the key mission, the one that decides how hard your finale will be. “Disorganized Crime” sends you to hack two cartel vans to pinpoint their garage. Once there, you grab a Cluckin’ Bell outfit to blend in, quietly sabotage the delivery trucks, then slip into the office to wipe the security camera footage.
That last step is the decisive one: if you clear the cameras without tripping the alarm, the finale flips to stealth mode. You then start hidden inside a crate delivered into the factory, which makes the solo infiltration far easier, with enemies that don’t respawn. Botch this mission, and the finale plays out at gunpoint, under fire. For a solo run, staying quiet isn’t a luxury, it’s your best insurance.

How much the raid pays, and the cooldown
The “Scene of the Crime” finale pays a flat 500,000 GTA$ to the leader, plus 50,000 GTA$ to each associate on the team. Important detail: that amount doesn’t change with difficulty. So there’s no reason to play on hard solo. Take the easy mode, you pocket the same sum with a lot more room for error.
Your very first completion adds a one-time 250,000 GTA$ bonus. So a leader finishing the raid for the first time walks away with 750,000 GTA$. Between runs, expect a one-hour real-time cooldown that applies to the whole chain, preps included, not just the finale.
On pure earnings, Cayo Perico still comes out ahead, but you first have to invest in a pricey submarine. The Cluckin’ Bell asks for nothing: it’s the best way to build a first nest egg before moving on to the big heists. We break it all down in our ranking of the best GTA Online heists and our solo Cayo Perico guide.
The rewards: vehicles and trade prices
Beyond the cash, completing the missions as leader unlocks trade prices on the vehicles the update introduced. The most iconic is the Bravado Gauntlet Interceptor, a police muscle car unlocked after the finale, a perfect fit for the dirty-cop storyline. On PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, the raid also brings career-progress reward tiers with exclusive outfits.
Is it still worth farming in 2026?
Yes, as long as you know what you’re after. The Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid isn’t the best cash machine in the game, but it’s the most accessible one: free, solo, story-driven, with no setup to fund. For a new player or someone rebuilding an account, 500,000 GTA$ for about 45 minutes of play without spending a dime is unbeatable. Veterans come back to it for a break from the usual grind, or to grab the first-time bonus on a new character. Once that first nest egg is in the bank, head over to the most profitable businesses to put the money to work passively.
And in GTA 6?
GTA Online isn’t going to shut down overnight, and the Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid will stay a safe bet for beginners for a long time. The real question is what multiplayer becomes when the next entry, Grand Theft Auto VI, arrives. We take stock of the future of GTA Online after GTA 6 if the topic interests you.
