GTA 6 Voice Actors: Who Plays Jason and Lucia?

Who plays Jason and Lucia in GTA 6? Rockstar keeps its cast under wraps. Here are the names going around, the denials, and what's real versus fake.

Who voices Jason and Lucia in GTA 6? The honest answer fits in one sentence: nobody knows officially. Rockstar locks its cast down to the very end, and the names going around, Manni L. Perez for Lucia and Dylan Rourke for Jason, are nothing more than fan guesses. Here’s how to separate the confirmed from the rumored.

Rockstar keeps its cast quiet, and that’s nothing new

As of today, the studio has attached no actor to any role in GTA VI. It has introduced its characters on the official page, Jason Duval, Lucia Caminos, and a whole named supporting cast (Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre’Quan Priest, Brian Heder, Raul Bautista), but every bio describes a role in the story, never the performer who plays it.

Nothing unusual there: it’s the house method. For GTA V, the names Ned Luke, Shawn Fonteno, and Steven Ogg, the faces of Michael, Franklin, and Trevor, didn’t really break through until launch, not during the marketing campaign. Rockstar saves its full credits for after release. In other words, for a game due out November 19, 2026, the cast will very likely stay in the shadows until the final days.

The names going around for Jason and Lucia

This is where the community goes to town, at a reliability level that stays firmly in rumor territory. For Lucia, the most persistent lead points to Puerto Rican American actress Manni L. Perez, flagged for years over her uncanny resemblance to the character, in both looks and voice. She has publicly said she wants to move into voice work and motion capture, and she’s already voiced a background character (“Clubber #2”) in the Diamond Casino Heist in GTA Online. Enough to feed the theory, not enough to prove it. Other names, like Natalie Morales, made the rounds before being ruled out.

On the Jason side, the fan favorite is Dylan Rourke, an American actor who’s appeared in Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19, and Modern Family, again picked for his physical and vocal resemblance. Other names have surfaced over the months, with no more certainty. The same caution applies: until Rockstar speaks up, these casting calls are worth exactly as much as a game of look-alikes. Fans have combed through both trailers frame by frame trying to place a voice.

The era of Hollywood stars is over

There was a time when Rockstar rolled out the red carpet. In the PS2 era, Ray Liotta played Tommy Vercetti in Vice City, Samuel L. Jackson played corrupt officer Tenpenny in San Andreas, with Burt Reynolds and Dennis Hopper in the credits. Celebrity sold the game as much as the game sold celebrity.

Since GTA IV, and especially since GTA V, the doctrine has changed. The studio now casts little-known actors, often from the theater world, for one specific technical reason: full performance capture. Voice, body, and facial acting are all recorded at once, on a stage, over months. Ned Luke has said he didn’t even know he was doing motion capture when he showed up to play Michael. Roger Clark, for his part, took home the 2018 Game Award for Best Performance for his Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2, captured entirely this way. A talented unknown never pulls the player out of the character, the way a too-famous voice would. Grand Theft Auto VI follows the same recipe: low-key performers, revealed at the very end.

Troy Baker, Sonic, and the parade of denials

The best sign that nobody knows anything is the denials themselves. Several actors have had to step up to put theories to rest. Troy Baker, the voice of Joel in The Last of Us, shut down the rumor that had him playing Jason in the first trailer: he said he wanted the real performer to “get credit for his work, because it’s probably going to be amazing.” Roger Craig Smith, the voice of Sonic, also had to set the record straight, more than once: “No. Not me.”

The lesson holds for everything GTA 6 related: until a piece of info comes from Rockstar, or from an actor confirming their own role, it stays a guess. That’s exactly the mindset to keep as the flood of fake announcements rolls in, a reflex we break down in our guide to telling the real leaks from the fakes.

What we’ll actually learn, and when

Let’s recap. Rockstar has given us faces and character names, never actors. The Manni L. Perez and Dylan Rourke rumors are credible but unverifiable. And the studio is following a fifteen-year-old habit: cast unknowns, keep everything secret, reveal the credits once the game is out. To really get a handle on this duo, you’re better off digging into what we know about Jason Duval and Lucia, the two faces of this story.

So we’ll have to wait until November 19, 2026, or close to it, to put names to the voices. Until then, be wary of any “official” cast list: it doesn’t exist yet. We’re keeping an eye on this and will update the moment Rockstar spills the beans. Alfred, GTA Zone.

FAQ

Who plays Lucia in GTA 6?

Rockstar hasn't revealed it. The name that comes up most is actress Manni L. Perez, thanks to her resemblance to Lucia and her openly stated move toward motion capture. She's already voiced a background character in the Diamond Casino Heist in GTA Online, but there's nothing to prove she's involved in GTA VI. At this point, it's a fan rumor, not a fact.

Who plays Jason in GTA 6?

Again, no official name. The fan favorite is American actor Dylan Rourke, seen in Grey's Anatomy, Station 19, and Modern Family, picked for his physical and vocal resemblance to Jason Duval. It's speculation: Rockstar hasn't confirmed anything, and the credit probably won't drop until launch.

Is Troy Baker in GTA 6?

No, he denied it himself. Some fans thought they recognized his voice in the first trailer, but the The Last of Us actor shut the theory down, saying he wants the real performer to get credit for their work. Sonic's voice, Roger Craig Smith, also had to clarify that he isn't in the game.

When will we know GTA 6's cast?

Probably at launch, on November 19, 2026, or maybe a few days earlier. Rockstar releases its full credits once the game is out, not during its marketing campaign. That's exactly what happened with GTA V: the names Ned Luke, Shawn Fonteno, and Steven Ogg didn't really circulate until launch.
