Beyond Jason and Lucia, Rockstar has officially introduced six secondary characters for GTA 6, revealed alongside Trailer 2 and the game’s official page. A smuggler mentor, a Vice City mogul, a bank robber, a rap producer and more: here’s who they are, and the role they play around the duo.

Six Faces, One Criminal Ecosystem

After the trio at the heart of GTA 5, Grand Theft Auto VI narrows the story down to a couple, Jason and Lucia, and rebuilds a dense galaxy of characters around them. The official bios aren’t just throwaway profiles: they connect to one another. Cal is Jason’s friend and Brian’s associate, Dre’Quan books his artists at Boobie’s club, and the Real Dimez are signed to Dre’Quan’s label. That web of relationships is Rockstar’s writing signature, the same one that brought the camp in Red Dead Redemption 2 and the crews of GTA 5 to life on the RAGE engine.

From the Shipyard to the Recording Studio

Each character owns a lane of Leonida’s underground economy. Brian rules maritime smuggling in the Keys from his shipyard. Boobie Ike controls Vice City’s nightlife, with his club and his studio. Dre’Quan and the Real Dimez bet everything on rap and going viral. Raul Bautista plays his own tune: armed robbery, and recruiting muscle willing to pull off one job too many. It’s the classic GTA setup, several criminal economies running in parallel, but rarely tied together this closely.

What This Cast Tells Us About the Game

Reading these bios, you can already guess the gameplay pillars. A seasoned robber looking for recruits all but guarantees the return of team-based heists. The musical trio (Boobie, Dre’Quan, Real Dimez) confirms that Vice City’s culture and radio, which we break down in our feature on the GTA 6 soundtrack, will sit at the heart of the game’s identity. And the presence of the Real Dimez, self-proclaimed stars of the viral video, cements the deliberate shift toward the present day and social media. None of this is a confirmed mechanic yet, but the trail of clues is consistent.

Here, from the most central to the most peripheral, are the six characters Rockstar has officially put front and center around Jason and Lucia.

  1. 1

    Brian Heder, the Smuggler Mentor

Rockstar describes him as "a classic smuggler from the golden age of running contraband in the Keys," someone who still moves his product out of his shipyard alongside Lori, his third wife, and who has enough experience to let others do the dirty work. He's Jason's mentor, and the press reports that he puts Jason up at the start of the game in exchange for small favors. That whole vibe, smuggling, seaplanes and boats in the Keys, draws on the folklore of Florida's 1980s cocaine cowboys that Vice City has mined since 2002. His take on the veteran who delegates stands in sharp contrast to GTA 5's amphetamine-fueled Trevor.

  2. 2

Boobie Ike, the Vice City Mogul

"A local Vice City legend, and he acts like it." Boobie is one of the few who turned his years on the street into a legitimate empire: real estate, a strip club, the Jack of Hearts, and a recording studio. All smiles until it's time to talk business. The club recalls GTA 5's Vanilla Unicorn, but Boobie doesn't treat it as a gimmick: he's an economic kingpin whose empire ties together the city's trafficking, nightlife and music. He's the crossroads that Dre'Quan and the Real Dimez orbit around.

  3. 3

    Raul Bautista, the Bank Robber

"Experience counts." Rockstar presents Raul as "a seasoned bank robber," confident, charming and cunning, "always on the lookout for talent willing to take the risks that pay off big." It's hard not to read that as a strong signal: a pro recruiting a crew for high-risk, high-reward jobs is the very definition of the heist structure that made GTA 5 and then fueled GTA Online's biggest updates. Not yet confirmed, but everything points to the return of heists as a pillar of the game.

  4. 4

    Dre'Quan Priest, the Label Boss

"Dre'Quan was always more hustler than gangster. Even when he was dealing on the street to make ends meet, breaking into music was the goal." He signed the Real Dimez to his label, Only Raw Records, and now he's setting his sights on the Vice City scene, even if it means walking away from the nights he used to book at Boobie's club. The character embodies the street-to-empire arc and confirms that the music industry, the DNA of Vice City and of the GTA 6 soundtrack, will be a central playground.

  5. 5

    Real Dimez, the Viral Duo

"Viral videos. Viral hooks." Bae-Luxe and Roxy, aka the Real Dimez, have been friends since high school: they turned their raids on local dealers into cold hard cash, fueled by raunchy rap tracks and a relentless online presence. After five years and plenty of trouble, they're now signed to Only Raw Records, hoping lightning strikes twice. It's the clearest sign of the series' turn toward the present: clout, social media and viral culture, a register GTA had never pushed to this scale.

  6. 6

    Cal Hampton, the Paranoid Buddy

"What if everything on the internet is true?" Jason's friend and Brian's associate, Cal feels safest at home, eavesdropping on Coast Guard communications, a few beers within reach and a handful of incognito tabs open. The good-natured conspiracy theorist is a long-running tradition in the series, from the Blaine County crackpots in GTA 5 to the radio's wild rants. He brings the comic relief to the little crew of Keys smugglers.
